Uniondale Library provides home delivery of Library materials for individuals who are unable to visit the Library due to disability or extended illness. Please call us at 516-489-2220 ext. 204 for more information.

Homebound Delivery Guidelines:

To enroll in the program, you must first submit the following forms: Homebound application of which Part II must be completed by a Health Care provider, the Reader’s Advisory form which would give us a selection tool to provide you with authors, titles or subjects that you enjoy reading.

In addition to books, you can request DVD’s, Books on Discs and music CDs. Please ask the Reference Librarian for assistance. Please Note:*** Patrons will be sent books from Nassau County Public Libraries only.  No LILinks or OCLC will be permitted.​

Patrons will be called before scheduled deliveries.  If the phone call is not acknowledged (answered or returned) delivery may be delayed or canceled for that cycle.

Once enrolled, the library will send a selection of books twice each month based on requests that are located in Nassau County Public Libraries.

Patrons will be responsible for all items delivered once they are dropped off, whether they are left with a person or left at the door.

When you are ready to return the books, we will pick them up for you, during the time that homebound delivery is on the schedule.
