Looking for support during your job search and a way to refresh your job-hunting skills? The Job Club provides career counseling service at no cost. The Club will be held every second and fourth Wednesdays of the month, 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. running from July through the end of the year. It will be facilitated by a professional career counselor from the Workforce Partnership. Registration begins on Thursday, July 1.This program is supported by Federal LSTA (Library Services and Technology Act) grant funds awarded to Nassau Library System by the New York State Library. Outreach Forum for Seniors Tuesday, September 28 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Join us for an informative workshop on the various services and programs offered to senior citizens. Presented by the Urban League of Long Island, Inc., this workshop will focus on housing referral, employment, legal services, LIPA/REAP, HEAP (assistance with home heating bills), WRAP (assists to obtain weatherization) and SAFE.
